Suggestion

Suggestion is the whole idea of hypnosis. People are hypnotized in order other people were able to suggest certain ideas in their minds. Those ideas may be of different kinds and so the suggestion may be of different kinds. After the hypnotism, a person is immersed in a state of hypnotic dream and while a person is in this state a number of different suggestions can be made.

There are four kinds of the suggestions that are performed by hypnotizers. Each of those ways is different according to the nature of suggestion. The suggestion may be verbal on nonverbal. It may also be suggested by a hypnotizer or by person itself. In case when the suggestion is performed by a person itself there is no need and moreover no way for a person to be immersed in state of hypnotic dream.

The suggestion that is performed by the hypnotizer is called as hetero-suggestion. There is no need to explain why it is called so as it is obvious that "hetero" is a prefix used in order to indicate the involving of two people. The polarity for hetero-suggestion is the auto-suggestion. It is only one person involved in the process of suggestion. So, a person is the hypnotizer and the hypnotized at the same time. There is no immersing in hypnotic dream during auto-suggestion.

Another peculiar type of suggestion is a verbal suggestion. It is performed by means of words that are pronounced by one person to another. The advertising trailers we see on the TV are the simplest example of such suggestion. It is used in order to assure us in effectiveness of some good or in necessity of the same good. The nonverbal suggestion is performed by means of some action or process.
